What our clients say about us
Contacted Radon Repair after getting a high long-term reading. Had a call back within a day and a consultation with Paul within a day after that. He explained everything very thoroughly and all the options. The team were able to do an assessment and mitigation within a month. Levels have been near zero ever since – now 4 months out. Everyone was nothing but professional throughout the process, and we really appreciate the team being willing to service the island! Highly recommend.
Radon Repair were great from start to finish. We had a somewhat complicated case, and they did not stop until they had it figured out and our radon levels successfully reduced. Every single team member was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Thank you Jeff and all the team at Radon Repair!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Radon?
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that comes from the ground. It can enter a home through small openings in the foundation and build up indoors.
How do I know if my home has radon?
You can’t tell without testing. Radon has no smell, colour, or taste. A long-term test (90+ days) gives the best picture of your average exposure.
What does Bq/m³ mean?
Bq/m³ (becquerels per cubic metre) is the unit used in Canada to measure radon in air. Your result is the average level measured during your test period.
What radon level is considered “high” in Canada?
Health Canada recommends taking action at 200 Bq/m³ or higher. Many homeowners choose to reduce radon at lower levels too, because there is no known safe level of radon exposure.
What do my results mean? (Reach out and we will help explain)
0–100 Bq/m³ If your result is in this range, your long-term radon level is very low. It’s below the World Health Organization guideline, and it’s the kind of level we aim for after mitigation.
100–150 Bq/m³ You’re still below the Canadian action guideline of 200. However, you’re above the World Health Organization guideline. Some homeowners in this range choose electronic monitoring to see how levels fluctuate over time.
150–200 Bq/m³ You’re below Health Canada’s action level, but you’re above the guidelines used by the World Health Organization and the United States. Health Canada states 200 is an action level, not a safe level, because there is no known safe level for radon. Many homeowners choose to mitigate as they approach 200, and electronic monitoring can help you understand how levels fluctuate over time.
200+ Bq/m³ If your level is above 200, Health Canada recommends you take action. The higher the number, the sooner you should act. We recommend speaking with a C-NRPP certified mitigation professional to review your options.
How much can mitigation reduce radon levels?
At Radon Repair we guarantee to bring your levels down below 100 Bq/m3, however, every home is different. Properly designed systems typically reduce radon levels up to 90%. We verify results after installation using electronic monitoring so you can see the improvement for yourself.
How does radon mitigation work?
Most systems reduce radon by creating suction under the foundation and venting radon gas safely outside. The system runs continuously to keep levels low.
