Angela's Promise
Why our testing service carries her name
Angela, of Havelock, NB, called us after a Stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis. Her home tested well above 10,000 Bq/m³, with spikes to 20,000. Angela's wish was to create more awareness, so more people would test and fix their homes.
We got our radon levels tested and it was an easy process! A few months after the technician came to set up the little tester things in the basement, we got an email with instructions on taking them down and setting them outside for pickup. … Luckily our radon levels are low and that gives me so much peace of mind. We will re-test when needed and have already recommended Radon Repair to family and friends for radon testing as well!

Questions homeowners ask
How long does a radon test take?
At least 3 months (91 days or more). Health Canada says a long-term test during the fall and winter is the most accurate.
Which test should I choose?
If you want to do it yourself, a long-term kit is simple and accurate. If you'd rather we handle everything and explain your results, book Angela's Promise. If you want detailed, ongoing data, an electronic radon monitor is a great option: choose one that has passed C-NRPP performance testing.

Book a free consultation. We'll go over your number and your home, and give you honest advice on what to do next.
Do you offer radon screening for real estate sales?
Yes. Our real estate screening assessment uses a professional-grade continuous radon monitor for at least 96 hours and follows CARST's guideline for real estate transactions. The home is kept in closed-house conditions for 12 hours before and during the assessment. Call us to book. We always recommend a long-term test the following winter.
When should I test again?
C-NRPP recommends retesting your home every 5 years, and after any major renovation. If you have a radon reduction system, Health Canada recommends maintaining it and retesting every 5 years. Fans wear out and homes change, so we also suggest ongoing monitoring, so you always know your level. Our System Check-Up makes it easy, even if another company installed your system.
